LAM & SAA Code Share
Mozambique Airlines and South African Airways started to perform from 3rd August of 2010, shared flights on the route Maputo - Johannesburg - Maputo, with the implementation of the code-share agreement.
With the implementation of this agreement, LAM and SAA now use the same code of its daily flights on the route Maputo - Johannesburg - Maputo, allowing travelers on the route having greater convenience, flexibility and comfort when traveling between Mozambique and South Africa.
Adérito Macaba, Commercial Director of LAM, says "This is a significant step to strengthen our presence in the regional market, opening new horizons to come to a major global alliance, as well as meet the objectives of LAM in better serving their customers and boost flow of people to travel to Mozambique.
For its part, the Director of Business Development and Alliances at SAA, Jason Krause, stressed that "sharing the code on the flights will provide connectivity to our passengers in and out of Mozambique and South Africa respectively, which also strengthened the cooperation among African airlines.
